INDUSTRY SPECIFICATIONS ON CLEAN ROOM GARMENTS
Cleanroom specifications and test methods for testing products used in a cleanroom are established by various recognized agencies including the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technologies (IEST). To date, cleanroom garment specifications do not include the consideration of ESD. However, the National ESD Association STM 2.1-1997 can be applied to all TW Clean garments and garment systems.

PRODUCT TESTING
TW Clean garments are produced from fabrics and other components which are tested to confirm conformance. After cutting and sewing, a completed garment is tested by placing the probes of the resistivity meter across seams to confirm panel to panel electrical continuity, as per ESDA STM2.1-1997. TW Clean garment systems are electrically connected across all seams, from head to toe and are guaranteed for 100 washings or 2 years.

SOLES
Soles utilized in the grounding system are conductive and provide a effective ground path when used with a grounded conductive floor. The soles are electrically connected to the coverall and hood allowing the entire garment system to be grounded without further tethering by a ground cord.
